GS-Mark

LGA GS-Mark

Description: The GS-Mark stands for "safety tested". It certifies that a product meets the requirements of the German Equipment and Product Safety Act (GPSG), the trade associations' accident prevention regulations, DIN and EN standards as well as the general technical standards. Before a manufacturer is entitled to place the GS-Mark on his product and prior to being issued a product related certificate, the product must be examined by a recognized test house (e.g. LGA). Annual factory inspections must carried out to maintain the validity of the certificate.

LGA: Quality Certificate

Description: The LGA Quality Certificate certifies a product's high and consistant quality. It confirms the safety (e.g. electrical, harmful substances) and performance capability (e.g. functional characteristics, wear and tear, service life) of a product and therefore its comprehensive quality. Annual production surveillances ensure its consistant quality. So whenever you see the LGA Quality Certificate on a product you and the consumer can be sure that it was tested thoroughly.

CE-Mark

CE-Mark

Description:
The CE-Mark (Communauté Européenne) certifies that a product conforms to the minimum requirements of the respective EC Directives. All manufacturers, no matter whether they are resident in the EU or in non-member countries, are obliged to place the CE Mark on all products which fall within the jurisdiction of the EC-Directives (e.g. toys). The conformity assessment procedure can either be carried out by the manufacturer himself (manufacturer's declaration) or by a notified body (CE 0125 = LGA). The CE Mark is a purely administative mark intended to simplify the cross-frontier free trade within Europe and is not proof of quality testing. Voluntary marks such as the LGA Quality Certificate are the only marks which stand for product quality.
